Notes:

Data for 15-16 year olds are based on ESPAD 2003 surveys except in the case of Belgium, Spain and Sweden. In these countries data are based on national school surveys conducted in 2004.

Data for 17-18 year olds are based on national surveys reported through the Reitox Network, generally using similar methods to ESPAD methods. Among the 17-18 year olds data from Latvia are based on a sample from Riga only.
