Notes:

Numbers are rounded to the nearest kg except for quantities less than 1 kg where more precise information is provided when available.

(1) 1997 data include 3321 kg of cocaine salts and 8 kg cocaine base.

(2) Czech Republic: Accurate data are not available before 2002 due to double counting of seizures by police and customs reports.

(3) From 1985 to 1994 only police seizures are included. Since 1995 all seizures are included (police, coast guard and customs).

(4) In 1997 and 1998, cocaine leaves were also seized. In 1999, cocaine liquid was also seized.

(5) Cocaine and crack are reported together (however, there are usually very few, if any, seizures of crack).

(6) 2003 data refer to England, Scotland and Wales only.

(7) Data refer to seizures made by customs and the National Service for Combating Organised Crime (NACOC) from the Ministry of Interior.

(8) 2004 data are estimated figures, which are unreliable, incomparable with previous years and truncated (based on seizures made only by some police forces).

(9) Up to 2003 only large seizures are reported.

See also 'General notes for interpreting data' on the Explanatory notes and help page.
